Last night, Kino Armata in Prishtina was transformed into a magical space where nature, storytelling, and childhood imagination came alive. Over 300 young faces filled the room with laughter, excitement, and bright smiles as they joined Uta and Deltar on their very first animated adventure.
Judging by the radiant energy in the room, Kosovo’s magnificent mountains have just found a whole new generation of champions!
From the Pages of a Book to the Big Screen
The evening kicked off with inspiring words from Tuba Safçiu (author, and scenario writer), followed by the brilliant creative team at Anibar Studios represented by Vullnet Sanaja, and esteemed representatives from Save the Children Kosova/o and the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina.
Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: Uta Ibrahimi herself—the real-life mountaineer, trailblazer, and inspiration for young dreamers everywhere. Uta sent a wave of love to the audience, greeting the children with a sweet heart made with her hands that instantly became one of the most heartwarming highlights of the night! ❤️
Meet Uta, Deltar, and the Wild Heart of Sharr
In the animation, Uta and her loyal Sharri dog, Deltar, set off on an enchanting hike through the breathtaking landscapes of the Sharr Mountains.
As they trek, the forest comes alive as playful forest creatures join the adventure, each sharing a piece of wisdom and a fresh perspective. The journey reveals the fascinating processes of nature, teaching children how to tune into the heartbeat of the mountains, while core messages weave seamlessly through the narrative to promote environmental protection, social inclusion, friendship, and understanding across diverse communities.
This cinematic journey builds upon the beloved children’s book “Uta në Sharr” . Seeing these characters leap from printed pages to the big screen proved just how powerfully stories can connect children to the world around them.
The Adventure Continues Across Kosovo! 🎒
Prishtina was only the beginning. Uta, Deltar, and their forest friends are packing their bags and hitting the trail to bring this magic to children across the country:
-
📍 Prizren — September 23
-
📍 Peja — November 19
Because sometimes, the best way to teach children about nature is to first invite them into a story—and inspire them to look at a mountain a little differently.
Sweet Endings 🍪
No adventure is complete without a treat! After the screenings, the children celebrated with delicious cookies, sharing smiles and stories of their own.
