“Threads of Change” aimed to strengthen the connection between civil society in Kosovo and Serbia, initiating collaboration between young people from both countries and breaking down the barriers that divide these communities. The project sought to build bridges of cooperation and understanding through activities that promoted environmental awareness and cultural coexistence.

One of the main activities was a hike from Marash to the Prizren Fortress, which also included a cleanup of the area, symbolizing our commitment to environmental preservation. Discussions on ecology and climate change, led by experts, emphasized the importance of individual engagement in the fight against global warming.

Participants also took part in a workshop where they learned how to sew reusable bags under the guidance of designer Ganimete Paqarizini, promoting the use of environmentally friendly materials.

Another highlight was the organization of a cultural guide in Prizren by the youth of the Youth Assembly of Prizren, which provided a rich cultural and historical exchange. Additionally, a documentary screening and an open discussion on the role of social media in advocating for environmental protection engaged the youth in reflecting on the importance of activism. Finally, in a promotional event, the reusable bags created during the workshop were distributed for free to the citizens of Prizren, serving as inspiration to reduce plastic use.

For the realization of this project, we express special gratitude to the European Union and the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) for their support. We also thank the teams at Utalaya Foundation and Kultura Nova for their dedication, the Youth Assembly of Prizren, and Kino Lumbardhi for their invaluable assistance in organizing the activities and creating a platform for successful dialogue and cooperation.
